French Impika launches high-speed inkjet equipment

The French Impika company recently developed the PBX600 inkjet device. The device provides a color printing service platform for the advanced label printing market, and the newly designed print head provides a higher speed operation.

According to the company, the PBX600 itself has a resolution of 600x600dpi and is capable of printing at 150 meters per minute using a defined or multiple resolutions.

To achieve the highest quality printing with better tonal values and close-ups, the PBX600 uses a 3?14 picolitres four-color resolution modulation level.

In addition, a large printing machine with a width of 474 mm sprays one or two colors from a line of 29 injection nozzles through 22,400 nozzles. This allows the device to form a full color printing system using only two rows of jet heads.

Paul Morgavi, CEO of Impika, said the new product is the result of long-term communication and cooperation with Matsushita. He said: "The new printing service platform is remarkable in that it combines the advantages of high resolution, high speed, full color and wide low-cost operation mode between large networks. It is the production and operation of inkjet printing. The reliability has opened a new chapter."

He also said that the inkjet machine's nozzle equipment was from Panasonic, but Impika has made some modifications.

The PBX600 is scheduled to be launched during the 2007 Trademarks Exhibition in Brussels in September.
