Shanghai Electric Power Repair and Development Plant develops a million kilowatt nuclear secondary pump

Recently, Shanghai Municipal Science and Education Xingguo major science and technology project --- million kilowatts of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plant nuclear secondary pump development project acceptance meeting successfully concluded. The nuclear secondary pump of the million kilowatt nuclear power unit, as a key nuclear power equipment, is a blank point that needs to be worked out in the process of nuclear power autonomy in China. During the "10th Five-Year Plan" period, the Shanghai Municipal Government organized a major industrial science and technology project "Development of Major Equipment and Materials for Million Kilowatt PWR Nuclear Power Plants". With more than 50 years of experience and technical advantages in pump equipment design and manufacturing, Shanghai Electric Power The construction plant has undertaken this scientific and technological project of great historical significance.

As early as 1998, the former Ministry of Power and the Shanghai Nuclear Power Office had once guided the Shanghai Electric Power Construction Plant to develop nuclear power products. In 2002, the plant obtained the pump and valve design and manufacturing license issued by the State and Safety Bureau. It has participated in the National Test Fast Reactor, Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant and Ling Ao Nuclear Power Plant related projects, and has obtained the contract for the main island water supply pump of the Pakistan C2 project. Since September 2003, under the guidance of the Municipal Nuclear Power Office, the plant has organized a strong force to tackle the problem and began the preparatory work for market research, program formulation and demonstration of nuclear secondary pumps.

After several years of hard work, on the basis of digesting and absorbing foreign advanced technology, Shanghai Electric Power Repair Factory relied on its own design and manufacturing capabilities to complete the research and development of key models such as hydraulic model design, pressure body and pump shaft. In the power, petroleum, chemical, metallurgical and other industries have accumulated a wealth of pump technology, to lay a solid foundation for the nuclear power plant nuclear second- and third-stage pump group localization.
