China's new research "dry air energy" can be used for air conditioning refrigeration

Dry air is also an energy source that can be used for air conditioning and refrigeration: the “dry air indirect evaporation chiller” jointly developed by Tsinghua University and Xinjiang First Company has recently passed the research and development results of the Ministry of Construction in Urumqi. Experts believe that this move marks an important breakthrough in the use of "dry air energy" in China.


Jiang Yi, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and a professor at Tsinghua University, said that the air has different dry and humid temperatures and its ability to contain water vapor is different. Since the dry air can hold more water vapor, and the water evaporates into a gas, it absorbs heat. Therefore, the dry air can provide the required cooling capacity for the air conditioner during the process from the dry to the tide. The energy of this kind of dry air is “dry air energy” – this is inexhaustible, clean and pollution-free in the arid regions of northwest China.

After on-site inspection of the “Indirect Evaporative Cooling Water Machine”, “Indirect Evaporative Cooling Air Treatment Machine” and equipment operation site of Xinjiang Green Messenger Air Environment Technology Co., Ltd., the expert group organized by the Ministry of Construction believed that “dry air energy” was used as the driving energy source. The indirect evaporative cooling air conditioning system can save about 70% energy compared with the traditional air conditioner, and because of the continuous delivery of fresh air, there is no indoor pollution problem caused by the traditional air conditioner.

The equipment operation data of Xinjiang Green Messenger Air Environment Technology Co., Ltd. in Urumqi, Shihezi and Aksu show that the "dry air" air conditioning unit can control the indoor temperature of large buildings between 22 °C and 28 °C.

Zhang Fulin, director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Construction, said that China has made important breakthroughs in the use of “dry air energy” and has a special significance in the current situation of heavy energy conservation and emission reduction in the construction industry. Scientific research institutions and enterprises that have undertaken the development of "indirect evaporative chillers" and "indirect evaporative refrigerating air handlers" should strive to enhance the competitiveness of products in terms of functions and costs, so that they can be widely promoted in the northwest region with abundant dry air resources. .

It is reported that the "dry air energy" indirect evaporative cooling air conditioning system has been promoted and applied in Xinjiang and other places nearly 1 million square meters.
