The preparation of electrochemiluminescence sensor technology for carbon ceramic composite materials developed by Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences has recently won the national invention patent.
Electrochemiluminescence is a phenomenon of luminescence produced by electrochemically exciting a luminescent reaction. At present, the immobilization of terpyridine pyridinium is an important research content in the field of pyridinium electrochemiluminescence, but most of the immobilization methods have two disadvantages: First, these methods usually only fix pyridinium on the surface of the electrode, and it is difficult to update after electrode poisoning; The substrates of pyridinium are generally non-conductive and cannot be directly formed into electrodes of various desired shapes using these substrates.
The carbon ceramic electrode is a composite electrode made of a mixture of carbon powder and sol-gel. The advantage is that it can be easily fabricated into electrodes of various shapes and sizes, and can be selected by using different toners and sols. The gel produces a wide variety of electrodes. The carbon ceramic electrode has high strength and is not easy to swell. It can be used in a variety of solvents and flow systems, and has a wide potential window, a controlled material aperture, a large effective surface area, and a renewable surface.
Changchun Yinghua Institute used carbon ceramics for pyridinium immobilization to obtain a stable electrochemical luminescence sensor. The sensor has the advantages of high stability, good reproducibility, simple fabrication, easy surface renewal and fast response, and solves the problems existing in the existing fixed method, and is of great significance for the practical application of the electrochemiluminescence method.
