When there are more press conferences, there are more people, and more often there are few people stop. However, this Beijing International Auto Show still has several notable features.
Exhibition focuses on pragmatic

Heavy trucks are still the highlight of the commercial vehicle area of ​​Beijing International Auto Show. "Commercial Automotive News" reporters circled several times and found that 39 heavy trucks were exhibited at the exhibition site, of which 17 were tractors and 11 were 6x4 tractors. From the emission point of view, about 80% of the companies exhibiting models are all State III emissions, the national IV SCR route prevailed.

The number of new cars in the commercial vehicle exhibition area is far less than that of cars. Although several models of the company's cars were on the market, most of these models were publicly unveiled before. Only the cabs of Beiben and JAC were unveiled for the first time. Commercial vehicles, especially trucks, are production materials and it is difficult to create a new model every year. Usually a new product is developed in 4 years and it will be replaced after 3 years. Therefore, the "pragmatic" exhibition of commercial vehicle companies is "the cause of events." On the basis of pragmatism, the trend of new technologies is also more obvious. Changan has brought four CNG heavy trucks, and FAW and Beiben have also brought new energy models.

Parts supporting competition Undercurrent surging

According to the estimates of the “Commercial Auto News” reporter, the core components and the actual market conditions are closely related to the configuration of the participating vehicles, and the display vehicle using the Weichai engine is approximately 80% of the total number of heavy-duty trucks, Fast. The gearing ratio of the transmission is also around 70%. However, the competition for parts and components brought by the vehicle companies has also emerged. All the models brought by FAW at this auto show use their own branded engines and transmissions, and the joint heavy trucks have all chosen their strategic partner Yuchai Engine.

At the same time, many companies have brought their own parts and components while demonstrating the entire vehicle. For example, SAIC Iveco Hongyan and Fukuda respectively brought engines, Valin brought along the Hualing Bridge, which is about to be launched in a heavy way, JAC brought the chassis, and Jirui Joint Heavy Industry displayed Yuchai 6K engine.

In the peak season every year, commercial vehicle companies are constrained by the shortage of supply of key components. Judging from the signals passed at this auto show, many commercial vehicle companies have some new measures in terms of supporting parts and components, not only to solve their own production bottlenecks, but also to enter the parts and components market.

Grouping trend is obvious

The Beijing International Auto Show is not attractive enough for passenger cars. There are few independent bus companies participating in the exhibition. Even if they come, they are generally packaged in the form of group exhibitions. This year's auto show has a total of passenger car products from companies such as FAW, Shenwo, Futianou V and North Neoplan. Among them, FAW has the largest number of models, and there are 1 school bus and 1 hybrid bus in the show.

Like China National Heavy Duty Powertrain, these traditional automobile groups are relatively lame in terms of passenger cars, but they still have ideas for passenger cars. For these big auto companies, the entry threshold for passenger cars is low, and they can also improve the products. Pedigree, why not.

This year's group operations of the auto group is also a point of view. In the first few sessions of the Beijing International Auto Show, the international brand heavy trucks were all splendid, but this year the international brands appeared to be much lower-key. In addition to Navistar and Jianghuai, the high-profile Mercedes-Benz and Mando of the 2008 Beijing International Auto Show will participate in the exhibition.

This year Jianghuai brought 12 products. The Futian booth has light trucks, light passengers, heavy trucks, and buses. FAW has not only passenger cars, but also heavy truck special vehicles such as city fire trucks and medium-duty trucks such as pure electric sprinklers. Shanghai Shenwo, SAIC Iveco Hongyan and Nanjing Iveco exhibited under SAIC's signature. This trend will continue in the future auto show.
