China National Heavy Duty Truck Remanufacturing Engine Capacity of More than 15,000 Units per Year

According to Ma Chunji, chairman of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., the company produced more than 15,500 remanufactured engines in 2009. By the end of the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan," China National Heavy Duty Truck is expected to form an annual production capacity of 50,000 engines (sets).

China National Heavy-duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. is China's first enterprise to produce heavy-duty vehicles, and is currently the largest domestic heavy-duty vehicle production base, and is hailed as the cradle of domestic heavy-duty vehicles. In 2009, in the face of the adverse impact of the international financial crisis, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group continued to improve the core competitiveness of enterprises, and each economic index hit a record high. In the year, 125,000 heavy-duty vehicles were produced and sold, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.59%.

In terms of developing a recycling economy, CNHTC Group has the first domestic company that is engaged in the remanufacturing of auto parts and components - Jinan Fuqiang Power Co., Ltd. At present, more than 20 varieties of specialized engine remanufacturing capacity based on re-manufactured Steyr engines have been formed. In 2009, it produced more than 15,500 remanufactured engines. Compared with the recycling of used machines, it saved 5,250 tons of materials, saved 682 tons of standard coal, and reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 397 tons.

According to reports, Fuqiang Company is a member of the North American Engine Remanufacturing Association, the National Development and Reform Commission and other departments, the first batch of circular economy demonstration pilot units and the national auto parts remanufacturing pilot unit. The so-called engine remanufacturing is the process of remanufacturing an engine that completely achieves new quality by recovering used engines from maintenance outlets, through specialized dismantling, testing and cleaning, and high-tech repair and upgrading.
