From August 24 to August 25, Weichai Power applied for the National Engineering Research Center for Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Assembly Engineering; the feasibility demonstration meeting was held in Weifang, and the relevant experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology organized the application of Weichai Power to the national commercial vehicle powertrain assembly. The engineering technology research center has conducted on-site review and verification.
Li Zhaoqian, Vice Governor of Shandong Province and Zhang Xinqi, Secretary of Weifang Municipal Party Committee met with experts from the Ministry of Science and Technology Li Zhiming and Others in the Fuhua Hotel. After listening to the feasibility report related to Weichai Power, the demonstration team conducted a careful on-site inspection of Weichai Power and strictly reviewed related materials. After rigorous inquiries and discussions, the demonstration team unanimously agreed to report on the feasibility of the “National Commercial Vehicle Powertrain Assembly Engineering Technology Research Center†through Weichai Power. This indicates that Weifang City had the first national engineering technology research. The center is of great significance in driving the development of the machinery manufacturing industry in the city, especially the automobile industry, and promoting the upgrading of the automobile industry.
It is understood that the National Engineering Technology Research Center is open to the whole industry and is approved by the relevant national ministries and commissions.
