Chongqing Changshou Chemical Co., Ltd. used the WTO rules to implement the anti-dumping strategy for neoprene in international marketing and succeeded, becoming the first anti-dumping and win-winning company in Chongqing.
As early as 2003, foreign countries neoprene rubber was imported into China at a very low price, causing domestic companies to face difficulties in operating. “Changshou Chemical has fully investigated and submitted an anti-dumping application form to the Ministry of Commerce through the Industry Association in September 2003. The national anti-dumping investigation department investigated and decided in May 2005 that the product under investigation was dumped. Anti-dumping duties ranging from 2% to 151% are imposed on chloroprene rubber originating in Japan, the United States, the European Union and other countries and regions.
After the anti-dumping lawsuit was won, Changshou Chemical invested a further 360 million yuan in the past five years to implement a circular economy, energy-saving and emission reduction, and an annual increase of approximately 63.55 million in benefits, which achieved a good harvest of environmental, social, and economic benefits. By 2008, the company’s profits exceeded 100 million yuan, and its employees’ annual per capita income exceeded 20,000 yuan.
