The “Waterborne Container Coatings†project successfully developed by VAIC under the umbrella of VABC has recently passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal.
This waterborne container coating primer, middle coating and topcoat all achieve water-based, can use 3 coating a baking process, and solve the technical bottlenecks of online coating with container high-efficiency production line. The company did not change the rhythm of the container production line and applied the solvent-based paint construction parameters to make the water-based container coatings have the same level of protection, water resistance, hardness, gloss, and solvent-based coatings. The United States KTA (container paint inspection agency) laboratory testing, and applied for three national invention patents.
At present, the company has produced 100t waterborne container coatings for more than 800 standard containers. The product is an environmentally friendly anti-corrosion coating. It can also be applied to other anti-corrosion fields such as railways and has a wide application prospect.
