It is reported that the Dresser-Rand business of Siemens Power Generation and Natural Gas Group will supply power generation equipment for two offshore projects in China. Among them, CNOOC is a customer of Penglai 19-3 oilfield project, and Harbin Guanghan Gas Co., Ltd. is a customer of Dongfang 13-2 gas field development project.
According to Siemens, Penglai Oilfield is one of the largest offshore oil fields in China and was discovered in Bohai Bay in 1999. This time, Siemens will supply two SGT-A30 RB generator sets for the Penglai platform, with a single power of 30 MW and ISO certification, representing the first maritime aero-derivative gas turbine package sold by the Siemens Dresser-Rand business to CNOOC. The SGT-A30 RB gas turbine is a proven product and an ideal cost-effective solution for offshore applications.
The Eastern Gas Field was discovered in 2012 and is located in the South China Sea. It is a high-pressure, high-temperature offshore gas field. Siemens will supply three SGT-600 generator sets for the Eastern platform, with a single output of 25 MW. Its core components include an industrial gas turbine, base, lubricating oil system, unit control board and gearbox, all also by Dresser. -Rand business supply. Auxiliary systems, such as intake and fire protection systems, are supplied and packaged by the customer Harbin Guanghan Gas.
Matthew Chinn, head of the new equipment program at Dresser-Rand, pointed out that "the two contracts demonstrate our customers' confidence in us because we have high-quality, technologically advanced solutions in the offshore power generation market that reduce the total cost of our customers' lifecycle."
