Petrochemical downstream equipment construction costs rise

According to the latest IHS CERA research report, the cost of designing and building global refinery and petrochemical plants rose by 1.5% in the six months to the first quarter of this year.
IHS CERA stated that the cost of global refining and petrochemical plant construction has steadily increased since the third quarter of last year, as the global economic recovery has stimulated the increase in the cost of daily necessities and general building materials, and projects delayed by construction due to the economic downturn have been launched again. Daniel Yergin, president of IHS CERA, said: “The global oil refining and petrochemical capacity construction boom has restarted, and costs will continue to rise and will soon return to the pre-recession level.”
The research report also shows that the construction of global refining and petrochemical capacity will be mainly concentrated in developing countries, such as China, India and the Middle East, where the demand for refining products in these areas is growing rapidly, and the government supports investment in refining. The developed regions, such as North America, Western Europe and Japan, will further integrate their refining capacity.

Advantages:

(1) Energy saving

(2) Fast system response and short cycle times

(3) Greatly decreases oil temperature of the system

(4) Smoother mould opening and locking, prolonging the life of the machine and the mould.

(5) The extra oil filtration requirements are met by special imported filter components.
