Continental Group Continues to Increase Its Profit in the Third Quarter of 2012

Balance sheet for the first time after the submission of the automotive supplier Continental AG (Continental) re-return DAX index, the third quarter of the current year recorded a growth in sales and profits, and confirmed its 2012 full-year forecast.

The Group announced on October 31, 2012 that sales from July to September 2012 increased by 5% year-on-year, to 8.1 billion euros, and profits reached 449 million euros, more than twice the same period in 2011. However, Continental’s sales and profits for the third quarter were below analysts’ previous expectations. In spite of strong resistance, Continental CEO Elmar Degenhart still expects the remaining three months of the current year's sales to reach at least the third quarter of 2012.
