China will accelerate the standardization of sensor networks

The Internet of Things mainly implements information exchange and communication between items and items through the perception layer, transmission layer, and processing layer. Among them, the sensory layer technology is the basis of the Internet of Things, and the sensor is also a hot and difficult problem in the current Internet of Things technology research.

In the information industry, standards are often used to guide the development of technologies and industries. The development of sensor network standards is crucial. In order to make breakthroughs in the core technologies of the Internet of Things as soon as possible, the National Sensor Network Standards Working Group was formally established in 2009 with the approval of the National Standardization Management Committee and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It is responsible for organizing research and drafting of sensor network related standards.

As of December, the working group had 110 member units, set up 13 project teams, and set up a new agricultural application research project group to propose a research plan for the application of sensor networks in agriculture and carry out specific research work.

At present, the working group has completed the solicitation of public opinions on six national standards such as "Sensor Network Part 1: General Rules". These standards specify the overall functional requirements and architecture of the sensor network, and standardize sensor network terms, sensor interfaces in the sensor network, and so on.

According to the person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, these standards will provide a reliable guarantee for the development of China's sensor network technology, and will play a positive role in promoting independent innovation and influence of standards. At present, the revised standards will be submitted to relevant departments for approval.
