Tesla delivers Model S to the first owners

Tesla Motors officially delivered Tesla Model S models to the first batch of Chinese customers at the Jiuxianqiao Hengtong Business Park in Beijing's Chaoyang District on April 22, 2014. Company CEO Elon Musk personally handed the Model S car key to the owners.

This is the first time that Elon Musk has come to China. He celebrated this moment with the first Chinese owners of Tesla. The location of the car key delivery ceremony will be the headquarters of China Tesla Motors will use in the future.

At the Beijing handover ceremony, a total of eight entrepreneurs took over their own Model S keys from Musk and became Tesla’s first users in China. They are Yu Yongfu, Chairman and CEO of UC Youvision, Yin Xidi, Chairman of Lifan Football Club, Xu Liang, Chairman of Heyi Capital, Zhang Han, a famous CCTV TV producer, Li Xiang, President of Auto Home, Chairman and CEO of Yunyou Holdings. Wang Dongfeng, president of Times Group Wang Xiaolan and others.

In addition, IT industry entrepreneurs such as Lei Jun and Cao Guowei, who were not on the scene, were the first owners of Tesla. They together caused the IT community to whirl up Tesla.

Elon Musk has attracted a lot of attention in this trip to China. Beijing is just the first stop for Musk to visit. Tomorrow (April 23), Musk will also attend Tesla's activities in Shanghai. This delivery event also showed that the Tesla Model S has obtained sales qualifications in China.
