Milan, Italy, Baosheng is building an injection molding machine with a clamping force of 6,600 tons, which is the largest machine ever produced by the company. The company hopes to ship the machine to Jcoplastic SpA this fall.
Headquartered in Battipaglia, Italy, Jcoplastic produces large bins and gardening supplies. This huge machine will be used to produce 2,200 liter wheeled boxes. This two-power injection molding machine has two injection molding units that produce 100 kg of material injection capacity. Liam Burns, general manager of Pou Sheng America, said the injection units are arranged side-by-side in parallel. Burns said that Baosheng also provides an automated production unit. After the robot removes the bin, the automated device grinds the workpiece, inserts it into the wheel, and then inspects the entire part.
Before the 6600-ton machine was built, it was a sensation when German suppliers shipped huge templates to Milan via the Mont Blanc Tunnel connecting France and Italy to the west side of the Alps. When the card was carried through the tunnel, the authorities closed the 7-mile tunnel, causing a three-hour traffic jam. Baosheng said that each template is 4.4 meters wide and 4 meters high. The machine is 26 meters long and weighs 582 tons. A mold weighing up to 132 tons can be used.
