Continental announces two investment projects in China

On August 30th, Germany’s leading auto parts supplier, Continental Group, announced two major projects in China: the second phase of the Shanghai Jiading Plant, with an investment of 120 million yuan and a total construction area of ​​10,000 square meters. The second factory in Wuhu, Anhui Province, was initially planned to invest 297 million yuan for the construction of land and factory buildings.
As an important production base for the Continental Group's long-term development in the Chinese market, the Continental Group completed the Jiading factory in 2010 and produced products for the Chassis and Safety Systems Department, the Powertrain System Department and the Body Electronic Systems Division. Continental Group and Jiading Industrial Zone jointly invested 120 million yuan for the second phase of the plant, which mainly produces the products of the Automotive Electronics Systems Division. The capacity reaches 3.5 million door control units and electrically controlled window regulators, and 4.5 million units are used in combination instruments. The first phase of the plant will focus on increasing the production capacity of related products of the chassis and safety systems department, becoming the largest production base of the Continental Group's global chassis and safety system electronic control system (a new generation of MK100 antilock control system and MK100 electronic stability control system).
