China's biomass energy has a bright future

"The development of biomass energy will not only help adjust the energy structure, but also help open up channels for farmers to increase income. It is of great significance to promoting the development of renewable energy and accelerating the construction of a new socialist countryside." This year's "two sessions," some representative members are holding Material energy, so that we see -
In this year's "two sessions", the development of material energy has become the topic of call for deputies from several provinces and municipalities. They said that China needs to take strategic measures to develop biomass energy, which is of great strategic significance for sustainable economic development, promoting energy substitution, alleviating environmental pressure, and promoting new rural construction.
The Jiusan Society reported in its speech that the current state is pushing for the construction of a new countryside and the development of biomass energy to open up new industries (straw power generation, fuel ethanol, etc.) for the countryside, effectively extending the agricultural industry chain, increasing agricultural added value, and increasing rural employment opportunities. Increase farmers' income. At the same time, the development of biomass energy can convert agricultural straw and organic waste that were originally used for direct combustion into efficient and clean biomass energy, and promote the development of rural recycling economy. Zhu Jingzhi, a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference from Shaanxi, believes that the development of biomass energy will make society more economical. "This year, I would like to propose a proposal for the protection of wetlands in the middle reaches of the Yellow River and the preservation of the Yellow River wetland ecosystem in Shaanxi Province. Because biomass energy is derived from the sun and stored in living organisms, biogas, straw gasification, fuel alcohol, and biology are now widely used. Diesel oil, etc., are all inexhaustible and renewable clean energy." China's biomass energy has shown a good development trend.
Just before the opening of the Fifth Session of the Tenth National People's Congress, CNPC signed a framework agreement for the development of biomass energy industry cooperation with the Shandong Provincial Government in Beijing. According to the agreement, the two sides will cooperate in the production of fuel ethanol and biodiesel using non-food energy crops as raw materials. This includes the construction of an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of fuel ethanol and a total production capacity of 100,000 tons of biodiesel demonstration production equipment in Shandong Province, and related basic research work.
Sinopec Corp. entered the methanol development. In September 2006, the construction of a large-scale coal conversion project jointly funded by five companies including Sinopec and China Coal Energy Group Corporation has started in Erdos, Inner Mongolia. After the project is successfully put into operation, it will produce 4.2 million tons of methanol annually. With 3 million tons of clean energy dimethyl ether that can replace diesel, it has become the largest capacity project in the domestic similar projects. Ning Shuchen, the NPC deputy, is an advocate of biodiesel. In an interview with the reporter, he said that the trend of diesel vehicle models has been accelerating, diesel supply is tight, and biodiesel has a broad space for development. The acceleration of the dieselization trend of automobile models is mainly due to the adoption of electronically controlled engine control systems, high pressure fuel injection systems, and exhaust emission control devices for modern diesel engines, which have completely overcome the shortcomings of traditional diesel engines and can meet the current international emission standards. These devices and technologies require low sulfur content, good lubricity, high cetane number, and cleanliness.
Although the prospects for the development of biomass energy in China are broad, the industrialization of biodiesel needs more attention and support from the country.
Experts pointed out that compared with foreign countries, the development and utilization of China's biomass energy is still in its infancy, and no industrialization of biomass energy has been formed; the government has not supported it, nor has it formulated a unified standard and implemented an industrialization strategy. During the "two sessions" this year, some deputies suggested that:
First, we must increase development efforts and expand the scale of development. It is suggested that the country should regard the development of biomass energy as an important part of building a new socialist countryside. The relevant government departments must work out a plan for the development of biomass energy that is compatible with the construction of a new countryside, and give greater support in funding.
Second, related parties should take the development of biomass energy industry as a major strategic measure to ensure national oil security, protect the ecological environment, and promote economic and industrial development.
Third, we must develop biomass energy according to local conditions. China is a vast country with huge geographical and climatic differences. Rural areas in different regions cannot develop biomass energy according to the same model, and they should take a diversified road.
Fourth, national quality and technical supervision and national standards setting bodies should establish biomass-related energy quality, production processes, process design, and national standards for safe production as soon as possible, and provide law enforcement basis for quality and technical supervision departments at all levels.
Fifth, biodiesel entered the automobile fuel market through the gas station system, which is a key issue in promoting the smooth development of China's biodiesel industry. The relevant state departments should actively coordinate and strive to promote the sales of high-quality biodiesel at gas stations.
