Sinopec and Mitsubishi jointly manufacture chemical products for auto parts

On March 26, Sinopec Mitsubishi Chemical Polycarbonate (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter abbreviated as smp), a joint venture between Mitsubishi and Sinopec Corp., was officially unveiled. Sinopec Corp. held a 50% stake and the company’s capital was approximately 720 million yuan.

It is understood that the joint venture's partners include Sinopec, Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation and Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics Co., Ltd. The joint venture company will invest a total of 2.2 billion yuan, and will produce and sell chemical products used in automotive parts and other fields. The production plant was built in the plant area of ​​Sinopec Yanshan Branch of Beijing Fangshan District.
