Recently, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, which was decided from March 13, 2015. From the date of the recall, the following parts of the car were recalled, totaling 127,071 vehicles:
(1) The 2012-2013 E-class vehicles imported by Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. from July 24, 2012 to September 30, 2013, totaling 14 vehicles; Â
(2) The 2012-2015 CLS-class vehicles imported by Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. from July 2, 2012 to December 1, 2014, totaling 14,227 vehicles; Â
(3) A total of 112,830 E-class vehicles of the 2012-2014 model produced by Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. from July 1, 2012 to December 1, 2014; Â
In some cases, the engine compartment seals of some vehicles may be disengaged from the engine insulation board under certain circumstances. The release seal may cause the vehicle to catch fire due to contact with the high temperature parts of the engine. Security risks. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will inspect the vehicles within the scope of the recall and replace the corresponding parts for the vehicles in question to eliminate safety hazards.
